Greek Calligraphy

During the past few months I have been working on Greek Calligraphy. An art which started to evolve but was brought to a sudden halt when the muslims invaded. There are not many who work on Greek Calligraphy as a style of art, and not merely to make simple text look pretty. The majority of calligraphers are religious people and mostly work on Biblical text, as have I.

The above phrase is from the Gosepl of John 8:12
Πάλιν οὖν αὐτοῖς ἐλάλησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων· ἐγὼ εἰμι τὸ φῶς τοῦ κόσμου· ὁ ἀκολουθῶν μοι οὐ μὴ περιπατήσῃ ἐν τῇ σκοτίᾳ ἀλλ’ ἕξει τὸ φῶς τῆς ζωῆς.

English translation:
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

And this verse is one of the spots where Jesus asserts his divinity.
